Root 66 Sunday Evening Bible Study

Root 66 Bible Study will resume on Sunday, February 12, 2012.

Root 66 is an opportunity for people of all ages to gather around the 66-book Word of God in interactive, relationship-building groups.

— Sunday Evenings - 6:15 to 7:45pm —

Life Light:
Sunday Evening Study of Genesis
An in-depth 13 week exploration of the person and nature of God and His purpose and plan for creation.

Fantastic Families:
At Home Worship/Devotion and Prayer
A focus on personal worship, devotion, and prayer as a way to strengthen our relationship with Christ.

Root 66 Kids:
Root 66 Kids is a Bible study and activity time designed for children ages 3 through 5th grade.
Your children are sure to enjoy this opportunity to grow in Christ as you, their parents and grandparents, do the same in one of our other Root 66 classes!

Youth Group:
Mount Olive's Youth Group is for young people in grades 6-12.
We gather throughout the year for activities and servant events, and every Sunday evening from 6:15-7:45pm. At their Sunday evening gatherings, youth take part in high-energy activities and games, relationship-building discussions and Bible studies that focus on life issues and topics relating to the life of following Christ in today’s world.

Confirmation Instruction:
Confirmation Instruction is for young people in the 6th and 7th grades (and older youth who desire to take part). From 6:15-7:15pm, Pastor Jeff will lead the group in a study of the major stories of the Bible as we discover how everything in the 66-book Bible points to Jesus! From 7:15-7:45pm, the Confirmation class links up with the Youth Group for games and other high-energy activities.
Mount Olive’s Confirmation Program is a two-year course that provides an overview of the entire Bible, followed by a year of interactive study of the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Baptism and Communion using Luther’s Small Catechism. The Confirmation Program culminates with "Confirmation Sunday," held each year on the 3rd Sunday of May, when those who have completed the two-year program publicly confess their faith in Jesus Christ and commit to a life of Christian discipleship.
